Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN)

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers coordinated nursing care for patients or an assigned group of patients in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process. This position involves supervising and directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff while coordinating care with other disciplines. The RN is expected to utilize critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment in their practice.

Job Summary

This role encompasses a variety of essential functions aimed at providing high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, as well as collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Essential Functions

• Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
• Develops plans that prescribe interventions to achieve desired outcomes.
• Implements care plans, coordinates care delivery, and promotes a safe health environment.
• Evaluates progress toward attaining treatment outcomes.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure effective care.
• Provides education and learning opportunities for patients and family members.
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegates responsibilities appropriately and coordinates duties among healthcare team members.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience in an acute care facility preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required.

Organizational Requirements

All associates are required to receive all necessary vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter. Medical and religious exemptions may apply.
