Elwood Staffing is looking to hire a Maintenance Helper in Longview, TX! Mon-Fri 6a-2:30p $15/hr

Maintenance Helper Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $ 15.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00am)

• Perform general facility maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, lighting, and mechanical issues
• Repair doors, fixtures, shelving, and other facility components
• Assist with equipment moves, installations, and facility modifications
• Perform painting, patching, carpentry, and other building maintenance duties
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns
• Maintain outdoor areas including trash removal, grounds upkeep, and minor landscaping
• Other duties as assigned

Maintenance Helper Qualifications:

• Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities, construction, landscaping, general labor, or handyman work preferred
• Must be flexible and willing to perform a variety of different tasks each day based on facility needs
• Comfortable performing hands-on work such as digging holes with shovels, painting, moving materials, setting up tables and chairs for events, cleaning, grounds upkeep, and minor repairs. Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools preferred. Must be willing to work both indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Ability to perform physically demanding work including standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Must be dependable, self-motivated, and willing to take direction.
• Ability to switch between tasks and assist in different areas as priorities change.
