Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Day ShiftNaphCare is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for Day Shift to join our healthcare team at the Mobile County Metro Jail in Mobile, Alabama. Duties and responsibilities may include and not be limited to:Performing patient assessments, interviewing patients about current health problems, medication historyTaking vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and weightProviding wound care, including cleaning and bandaging injured areasAdministering medication, including injections of medications and monitoring reaction to medsMaintaining medical records, including entering information into our electronic health record, TechCareObserving patient health and mental health statusProviding emergency first aidProviding patient education and discharge/release planningQualificationsNew grads are encouraged to apply! Education / Licenses / Certifications / RequirementsGraduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing programHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED)Actively state-certified as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical NursePossess an active CPR certificationMust pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screeningExperience / SkillsAble to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential informationDisplay integrity, professionalism and be able to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirementsPhysical Capabilities: Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.Why Join NaphCare?
