Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room

$15,000 Sign-On Bonus for Day Shift with a 2-year commitment

Schedule: This position is for the weekend dedicated call OR RN. Call hours are Friday at 5:00pm to Monday at 7:00am, 40 hours guaranteed.

More about our team The operating room is equipped with six beds and handles an average of 400 cases per month. The scope of procedures includes a diverse range of specialties: Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Cataract and Retinal Eye surgeries, Gynecologic, Laparoscopic and Endoscopic, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Plastic and Reconstructive and Gastroenterological surgeries. The majority of cases are general and orthopedic. Surgical operations are conducted Monday through Friday, with additional night, weekend, and holiday call rotations to ensure continuous coverage.

How you'll contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs

Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions

Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient

Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record

Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient

Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

What we're looking for Applicants should have a current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.

One year of experience preferred.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
