TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Bridgeport, West Virginia, 26330!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: RNs must be able to titrate drips. Experience with cardiac patients and telemetry is preferred. Description: This position is for a med-surg/telemetry registered nurse in a stepdown unit. The unit has 29 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6. Common diagnoses include cardiac patients, post-cardiac catheterization, and post-operative lung surgeries. The unit will not have stepdown patients or art lines. RNs must titrate drips including cardiac gtts such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, and Dopamine. Charge nurses are available 24/7, with the day charge nurse not taking patient assignments while the night charge nurse does. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are utilized on the unit, ideally with a ratio of 1 CNA for every 12 patients. Respiratory therapy is available and manages equipment such as CPAP and BiPAP. RNs are required to read and interpret telemetry strips from Phillips monitors. Scheduling includes 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Weekend requirement is every other weekend. Travelers are expected to work holidays as part of the permanent staff rotation. Floating may occur to other units based on staffing needs. Dress code includes royal blue scrubs for RNs.
