Electrical Controls Engineer

PLC Controls Service EngineerWe are seeking a PLC Controls Service Engineer to support installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of material handling and automation systems. This is a hands-on, field-based role working with conveyors and industrial equipment in manufacturing environments. This is a direct hire opportunity in the Columbus, OH area.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical, mechanical, and automated systemsDiagnose equipment issues and perform repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenanceSupport commissioning, testing, and startup of new or modified systemsInterpret engineering drawings and assist with on-site installation activitiesWork with conveyors (Power & Free, skid, friction, transfers, etc.) and related automation equipmentInterface with customers, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve issues and support project executionAssist with small project estimating, quoting, and coordinationQualificationsExperience with PLC troubleshooting/programming in a field environment preferredHands-on experience with industrial equipment, conveyors, or automation systemsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsStrong problem-solving and communication skillsExperience with AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar CAD tools is a plusProficient with Microsoft OfficeEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or material handling environmentsAdditional RequirementsWillingness to travel 30-50% (U.S., Canada, and Mexico)Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as neededPhysically able to work in industrial environments (climbing, lifting 25–50 lbs., extended standing/walking)
