Local CDL B Driver

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Delivery Driver with a valid Class B CDL to support operations throughout the Kansas City metro area. This position primarily involves making local deliveries of materials and equipment, with occasional trips to more distant job sites. Drivers return to the Kansas City area each day, ensuring no overnight travel or over-the-road routes are required. The ideal candidate will assist with loading and unloading materials and must be capable of lifting substantial weight as part of daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Make local deliveries of materials and equipment throughout the Kansas City metro area.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials, ensuring the safe handling of substantial weight.
• Support shop operations by assisting with fabrication activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Manage inventory and organize materials.
• Provide general support to the Shop Manager.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and variable reach lifts.

Essential Skills

• Valid Class B CDL.
• Experience in driving and operating commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift substantial weight.
• Comfortable working at heights and using ladders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and variable reach lifts preferred.
• Willingness to undergo training and certification for equipment operation.

Work Environment

This hands-on role involves driving, loading/unloading materials, managing inventory, and operating equipment in year-round climate conditions. Work hours are typically from 6am to 4pm or until the work is finished.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Shawnee, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $56160.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Benefits include insurance, 401k, health, dental, etc.
