We are currently hiring for a FT RN/LPN

Provides general nursing care to residents in nursing home care facility in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties are determined by the facility and may include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Explains procedures and treatments to resident to gain cooperation, understanding and allay apprehension.
2. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
3. Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of resident.
4. Observes resident, records significant conditions and reactions and notifies supervisor or Physician of resident’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments and significant incidents.
5. Monitors temperature, pulse, blood pressure and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of resident.
6. Responds to resident situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures and protocol.
7. Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned residents.
8. Follows the resident care plan according to the individualized needs of the resident, as prescribed by Physician and/or nursing home policy standards including resident and family instruction.
9. Participates in department quality improvement activities.
10. When working in Carus Court, staff will follow the guidelines that are in place for the memory care unit.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises CNA’s and CMA’s. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and /or Experience

Bachelors (BSN) or Associate’s degree (ADN), ASPN, or LPN approved program from a university, college, or technical school.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

Current RN or LPN license.
