TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Alexandria, Louisiana, 71301!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in related nursing specialty preferred License: RN License in state of employment or compact Certifications: BLS certification required, ACLS certification required Must-Have: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred. Description: Two positions available. Shift operates from 7 PM to 7 AM. Every other weekend is required. No call requirement. Floating may be required when needed. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1, but can be 6:1 on occasion. The competent nurse practices independently and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care with the ability to achieve long-range goals or plans. Continuously develops the capability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation. Meets expectations of applicable competencies in leadership and practice. Consistent with established Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families according to their level of practice. Utilizes appropriate protocols to administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments. Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers, identifying issues and resources.
