Test Engineer (Electronics Manufacturing)

We are seeking candidates with 0-18 months of experience to work in a contract to hire role at our client site in Plano, TX. This role is W2 with Roth Staffing to start and is expected to convert to full time with the client at around the 6 month mark. No 3rd party candidates will be considered for this role.

• The W2 hourly rate is $36.05 per hour.
• Salary upon conversion will be $78,000

What you will be Doing:

This role will be involved in forecasting of revenue growth in writing and production test programs for electronic circuit design, basic digital circuitry and electronic test equipment.

Responsibilities:

1. Producing test jigs and writing test programs.

2. Evaluating and verifying engineering design/factory process alteration.

3. Planning/evaluating/verifying/tracking new product DFt.

4. Analyzing product trial production and mass production line problem countermeasures.

5. Installing test equipment of engineering/production line and planning for Burn-in.

6. Verifying and confirming TS (test notes) and TE test items.

7. Verifying the product and completing the test plan and test report.

8. Confirming the PWB test point.

9. Analyzing RFQ and planning test methods for new products.

What we require (Skills and Background):

· Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field; Or associate degree in Electronics with Equivalent years' experience in a related field.

· 1 plus years of testing engineering experience including writing test programs and verifying and confirming TS and TE test items.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills.

· Circuit analysis, bench level equipment skills, and report writing.

· Ability to work using schematic diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or layouts to perform testing and trouble-shooting functions.
