Regional Technical Advisor

The District Account Manager will serve as a regional technical advisor to the Eagle Ford commercial team, providing technical expertise and customer support for chemical products and applications. This role leverages a strong foundation in chemical engineering, production chemistry, and process operations to help customers address technical challenges and optimize performance. Working closely with sales representatives and customers, the Specialist evaluates operational requirements, recommends effective chemical treatment solutions, and supports the development of tailored proposals. The position acts as a trusted technical resource throughout the sales process, helping translate complex technical concepts into practical business solutions. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, customer engagement capabilities, and the ability to collaborate across technical and commercial teams. By combining technical knowledge with a customer-focused approach, the Specialist helps drive customer satisfaction, operational reliability, and business growth.What’s in it For You:You will join a sponsorship available)Required Skills & Experience (Must – Haves):3+ years of experience in chemical applications, production chemicals, technical support, field operations, or a related industryStrong chemical engineering foundation with knowledge of chemical processes, fluid systems, reaction principles, and process design for upstream and midstream operatorsCompetency in corrosion, scale, and other predictive modelsStrong understanding of production chemistry, chemical treatment programs, and process optimizationFamiliarity with laboratory testing, product performance evaluations, and field trial executionUnderstanding of corrosion management, scale control, emulsion treatment, flow assurance, asset integrity, or process improvement initiativesAbility to evaluate operational challenges and recommend practical technical solutionsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actionsExperience supporting customers in field, production, or industrial environmentsAbility to communicate complex technical concepts to all levels of the customer organizationStrong customer service, relationship-building, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively with sales, operations, laboratory, and technical teamsStrong organizational, time management, and project coordination skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and business systemsCommitment to safety, compliance, and customer satisfactionPreferred Skills & Experience (Nice to Have):Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical disciplineExperience supporting commercial sales teams in a technical, pre-sales, or applications engineering capacityKnowledge of production chemicals, water treatment, process treatment, or specialty chemical applicationsExperience analyzing operational data and translating findings into actionable customer recommendationsExperience preparing technical proposals, presentations, and customer-facing reportsDemonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilitiesAbility to conduct technical training sessions for customers and internal stakeholdersKnowledge of industry regulations, environmental requirements, and safe chemical handling practicesExperience utilizing CRM systems, business intelligence tools, and data visualization platformsStrong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities and customer opportunities simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability to influence customer decisions through technical expertise and consultative problem-solvingExperience supporting product development, commercialization, or application testing programsJob Duties:Serve as the primary technical resource for customers and the commercial team, providing expertise on chemical products, treatment programs, and application recommendationsPartner closely with sales representatives to understand customer requirements and develop technically sound solutions that align with operational and business objectivesMonitor treatment program performance and recommend adjustments to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectivenessEvaluate customer operations and technical challenges to identify opportunities for process improvement, performance optimization, and reliability enhancement through chemical treatment solutionsProvide technical consultation throughout the sales cycle, including opportunity assessment, solution development, proposal support, and post-implementation follow-upSupport business growth initiatives by identifying opportunities for expanded product utilization, treatment optimization, and value-added technical services within customer accountsAnalyze operational, laboratory, and field performance data to develop recommendations that improve treatment effectiveness, reduce operational risks, and enhance customer outcomesTroubleshoot process and production issues, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate corrective actionsSupport customer meetings, site visits, technical reviews, field trials, and product evaluationsCommunicate complex technical concepts in a clear and practical manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersDeliver technical presentations and training sessions to customers and internal teams as neededDevelop and maintain strong customer relationships by serving as a trusted advisor and providing responsive technical supportCollaborate with laboratory, operations, engineering, product management, and other cross-functional teams to address customer needs and resolve technical challengesAssist in the preparation of technical reports, proposals, treatment recommendations, performance summaries, and customer presentationsMaintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, technical evaluations, project activities, and solution recommendationsStay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive solutions to support customer needs and business growthEnsure all activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standardsPromote a strong safety culture and support the safe application, handling, and use of
