Litigation Paralegal

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join a busy Insurance Defense litigation team in Altamonte Springs, FL. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation.

This role offers the stability of a well-established legal services environment, a collaborative team structure, and supportive leadership that values accuracy, organization, and strong communication. The position is a great fit for a paralegal who wants to contribute meaningful case support, manage important deadlines, and work with attorneys, clients, experts, and court personnel in a professional litigation setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Draft pleadings, discovery documents, appraisal award letters, and initial responses to Civil Remedy Notices.
- Conduct legal research, case-related investigations, and document review to support litigation strategy.
- Prepare correspondence and communications to experts, including claim-related documents and comparative estimate assignments.
- Coordinate appraiser assignments, property inspections, hearings, depositions, and case-related scheduling.
- Prepare and organize hearing materials, deposition binders, final CRN responses, and other litigation documents.
- Maintain calendars, track deadlines, and manage a high-volume caseload with accuracy and timely follow-through.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $60,000 to $70,000 per year.
- Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday.
- First 6 months are in-office.
- After 6 months, hybrid schedule with 2 days working from home.
- Employees are required to be in the office on Tuesdays and may choose their other 2 in-office days each week.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support insurance defense and litigation matters from case opening through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, discovery, CRN responses, correspondence, and case-related legal documents.
- Coordinate deadlines, hearings, depositions, inspections, experts, appraisers, and litigation materials.
- Manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy, organization, and responsiveness.

- 3 or more years of litigation paralegal experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of litigation processes, deadlines, court procedures, and case management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, reprioritize throughout the day, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a legal team.
- Professional communication skills for interaction with clients, judicial assistants, experts, attorneys, and internal team members.

Preferred Qualifications

- Insurance defense litigation experience.
- Experience preparing Civil Remedy Notice responses.
- Experience supporting property insurance, appraisal, claim-related, or comparative estimate matters.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume litigation law firm environment.
