What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, government location policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in an armed patrol role.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting security-related concerns and/or unusual activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor movement through controlled areas, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and report policy violations or access concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Support order at a correctional-related location by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and communicating clearly with staff, visitors, and/or law enforcement when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
