Line Cook - BakeChop

BakeChop is hiring an experienced Line Cook as we get ready to move to 7 DAYS A WEEK in the next couple of weeks!

We’re looking for someone with OPEN AVAILABILITY who is a true hustler and actually enjoys being busy.

This is a fast paced kitchen. There is a lot of movement, a lot of multitasking, and a lot of walking back and forth between the line, prep areas, and cooler. You need to be comfortable staying in motion and keeping your head in the game during a rush.

You Need To Be Able To

• Read and execute tickets accurately

• Multitask without getting overwhelmed

• Work multiple tickets at once

• Have strong knife skills

• Move quickly and efficiently throughout the kitchen

• Stay organized while working at a fast pace

• Handle breakfast, lunch, and dinner service

• Work multiple stations

• Prep, stock, cook, clean, and close

• Communicate with the rest of the line

• Keep quality and presentation consistent even when slammed

• Work independently without needing constant direction

What We’re Looking For

• Previous line cook experience required

• Open availability strongly preferred

• Comfortable working mornings, nights, weekends, and different shifts as needed

• Strong sense of urgency

• Excellent time management

• Strong knife skills

• Able to read tickets and prioritize multiple orders

• Comfortable being on your feet and moving throughout the shift

• Reliable and dependable

• Strong food safety and cleanliness habits

• Positive attitude under pressure

• Team player who is willing to jump in wherever needed

BakeChop is a busy scratch made restaurant in Downtown DeLand serving creative breakfast, lunch, dinner, and rotating specials.

We are not looking for someone who wants to stand at one station and wait for the next ticket.

We need someone who can hustle, think ahead, move with purpose, and keep up.

With our move to 7 day operations , we’re building a stronger kitchen team now and looking for experienced cooks who want consistent hours and the opportunity to grow.
