Swing Shift (12pm-12am) Provide Critical Care When It Matters Most Description Veterinary Technician - Emergency Hillside Veterinary Clinic Dallas, TX Swing Shift (12pm-12am) Provide Critical Care When It Matters Most Compensation: Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT/VTS): $25.00–$35.00/hr +plus shift differential ExperiencedVeterinary Technician (Unlicensed): $22.00-25.00/hr + plus shift differential Why You’ll Love This Role ER without leadership or managerial expectations Strong doctor–technician collaboration Advanced emergency medicine and diagnostics Supportive team culture with Thrive‑backed resources What You’ll Do As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you’ll provide hands‑on care to critical patients by: Supporting veterinarians during emergency exams, treatments, and procedures Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with emergency surgeries and post‑operative care Providing emergency nursing care and first aid to injured or recovering patients Preparing patients and surgical instruments for procedures Monitoring and interpreting vital signs, including blood pressure, ECG, SpO₂, andEtCO₂ Collecting laboratory samples and performing in‑house diagnostics Operating digital radiography and advanced diagnostic equipment Administering medications and treatments as prescribed Accurately documenting patient histories and medical records Maintaining clean, sterile, and organized treatment, exam, and lab areas Mentoring and supporting fellow technicians and assistants What We’re Looking For Required Experience & Skills Minimum1+years of emergency veterinary technician ECC/CVT/LVT/RVT credentials encouraged Strong anesthesia monitoring and surgical assisting skills Experience with post‑operative and emergency patient care Ability to assess patient condition and respond in fast‑paced situations You’ll Thrive Here If You Are Calm, focused, and confident under pressure Detail‑oriented with strong clinical judgment A collaborative team player who enjoys learning and growing in ECC About The Hospital At Hillside Veterinary Clinic, we provide primary and emergency care to dogs and cats in the greater Dallas area.
