Production SupervisorKey Tasks and Responsibilities:Monitor Quality Control process as it applies to the direct manufacture and packaging of diatomaceous earthAccurate computerized data entry including production reports, time entry and quality control managementDirect the work of Laborers, Operators, Maintenance, provide training and support to all OperatorsPrepare and complete lab sample analysisMust complete workplace inspections for the assigned area of responsibility and direct employees to do the sameResponsible for ensuring that the production plan is followed and production rates are maintainedPrioritize work for direct reports, and follow packaging prioritiesDocument and report shift performance in all functional areas on a timely basisEnsure that interruptions to production are quickly and efficiently overcome in order to maintain productivity as per Plant GoalsEfficiently utilize the available resources to maintain targeted productivityRespond in a timely manner to all concerns brought by employees in the assigned area of responsibilityEscalate issues if roadblocks cannot be overcome, and if productivity targets will not or cannot be metDirect shift maintenance personnel to make repairs and follow up with the day shift Maintenance Manager on longer term repairsTrack and trend the performance of the assigned work crew and provide performance feedback as necessary to meet the overall objectives of the plantEducation:Minimum high school diploma or equivalentBachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) strongly preferredExperience:Minimum of three (3) years related experience, including supervisionPhysical Conditions of Employment:Lift up to 50 poundsKneel, crouch, reach, speak, hear, write and use machineryWalking production floor/levels with exposure to dust, heat, and noise.
