Accountant & Corporate Services Backup About the Role

You’ll own day‑to‑day Accounts Payable operations, support key financial processes, and learn cross‑functional skills in Supply Chain and Customer Service. What You’ll Do Accounts Payable (Primary Focus)

• Process supplier invoices (email/mail) and match them with purchase orders and receiving records.
• Enter invoices into SYSPRO and prepare weekly payments (Checks, ACH, AmEx, wires).
• Maintain supplier accounts, create new vendors, and keep W‑9/1099 information up to date.
• File paid invoices, organize AP records, and follow retention schedules.
• Prepare weekly accounting reports for leadership.

Financial Reporting & Reconciliation

• Maintain schedules and spreadsheets (capital projects, leases, utilities, sales tax binders, etc.).
• Reconcile fixed assets, prepaid accounts, and PayPal activity monthly.
• Prepare annual 1099 reports and assist with year‑end AP file setup.
• Train to become the company’s Sales Tax Reconciliation expert.

Cross‑Training & Backup Support

• Learn Senior Accountant tasks to serve as a reliable backup.
• Support Supply Chain and Customer Service teams when needed.
• Help improve internal documentation and training materials.

What You Bring

• BA/AS in Accounting or 5+ years accounting experience (manufacturing experience a plus).
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and multitasking ability.
• Experience with AP/AR, ERP systems, Excel, and Word.
• Clear communication skills — written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and willingness to learn NYS Sales Tax rules.
