Hotel Housekeeper

Summary: Responsible for enhancing and improving the SRHM / [Hotel Name] experience by providing a quality rooms product and service for guests. Demonstrates and promotes SRHM’s core value of the Golden Rule which includes treating others (guests, families, vendors and team members) in the same manner we would like to be treated. Ensures guest rooms and common areas are clean and inviting at all times.Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Clean corridors, lobbies, stairways, elevators and lounges as well as guest roomsOrganize work schedule from the room status list, arrivals and departuresDistributes linen, towels and room supplies using wheeled carts or by handRestock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos, writing supplies, mini barReplaces dirty linens with clean itemsInspect and turn mattresses regularlyStore all dirty laundry in line with company policyMonitor guest laundry bagsReplace laundry bags and slipsCheck all appliances in rooms are in working orderRealign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layoutRespond to guest queries and requestsRespond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glassesDeliver any requested housekeeping items to guest roomsRemove room service itemsOrganize and restock cart at the end of the shiftEnsure confidentiality and security of guest roomsFollow all company safety and security proceduresReport any maintenance issues or safety hazardsObserve and report damage of hotel propertyWork as a team player with other team members and management in accomplishing work assignmentsMust provide a safe and clean environment at all timesAdhere strictly to rules regarding health and safetyEssential FunctionDemonstrate a positive and respectful attitude with guests, families, team members, vendors and managementPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
