Back End Developer III - Hybrid

Job Duties

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Back End Developer III for a contract position with a Leading Consumer Electronics Retailer located in Richfield, MN. This is a 6 month contract opportunity.

Pay range: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour

This role is within the Ads organization, focusing on building and managing the platform used by sellers and internal teams to create, manage, and monitor advertising campaigns. The department specializes in retail media and advertising technology, including sponsored products and onsite display advertising, owning systems that support campaign management, bidding, reporting, and seller-facing user experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Build and enhance seller-facing campaign management workflows

• Integrate with external advertising platforms and ad-serving systems

• Implement reporting, spend tracking, and billing event pipelines

• Improve campaign synchronization and product eligibility systems

• Modernize frontend and backend architecture for scalability and maintainability

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of backend development experience

• Strong Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot/WebFlux expertise

• Experience with microservices and REST API development

• Strong understanding of Kafka and event-driven architecture

• Knowledge of distributed systems, concurrency, and async processing

• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL/MySQL performance optimization skills

• Experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud-native applications

• Production support, monitoring, and observability experience

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

• Ability to independently own features/services end-to-end

• Good cross-team communication and collaboration skills

• Experience with scalable and high-throughput systems

Desired skills:

Experience with AdTech, BigQuery/GCP, reactive programming, and AI-assisted development tools
