Job Description: We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our team at Jefferson Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on hospital facilities, equipment, and building systems to ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and building systems.
• Complete and prioritize work orders while maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain mechanical rooms, maintenance areas, and facility grounds in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Provide guidance and support to Maintenance Technician II staff during troubleshooting and repair activities.
  

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
  
• Previous maintenance, facilities, construction, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair building systems and equipment.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
