Information Technology Support Assistant

We are seeking an experienced IT Production Support Assistant to support critical applications in a mainframe and midrange computing environment. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in production support, batch processing, and IT operations who can ensure smooth day-to-day system performance in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Monitor, execute, and troubleshoot production batch jobs in a mainframe environment. Manage job scheduling using tools such as Control-M. Support application deployments using Endevor, including handling JCL, PROCs, and control statements. Perform incident and ticket management, documenting issues and resolutions using ITSM tools. Operate and support mainframe consoles and data center processes. Respond to system alerts and resolve production issues efficiently. Collaborate with developers and team members for application support and knowledge sharing. Maintain and update procedural documentation. Assist with high-volume print operations when required Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in mainframe production support / operations. Hands-on experience with Control-M (or similar job scheduling tools. Experience using Endevor for code migration and deployment. Strong understanding of JCL (Job Control Language. Experience with incident tracking systems (e.g., Cherwell, ServiceNow. Background working in a data center or 24/7 production environment. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to COBOL applications Experience with high-speed production printers. Prior experience in a government or public sector environment.
