Overview Supervisory Physician (Family Medicine) – Fort Leavenworth, Kansas About the Position This position is located at Munson Army Health Center, Fort Leavenworth, KS. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for candidates who are new to Federal service. Responsibilities Direct clinics quality assurance, utilization review, risk management, and peer review activities. Review and consider recommendations to change policies, procedures and programs needed for the efficient operation of the entire department. Set long‑term and short‑term goals for the overall departmental operation, planning for changes to programs and determining staffing needs. Review and analyze work methods and operational metrics and make changes based on findings. Direct and supervise the overall planning, execution, and supervision of all aspects and activities of the department, medical treatment, credentialing, quality assurance, and administrative processes. Provide or perform examination, diagnosis, and treatment of the full range of outpatients to include chronic conditions and complicated diagnoses and treatments. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications US Citizen. Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or equivalent from a school accredited by a recognized U.S. accrediting body. Foreign‑educated MDs must have equivalency certification. Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory. At least one year of supervised clinical experience after degree completion. Residency training in Family Medicine or Family Practice with at least 5 years of equivalent experience: Successful completion of the accredited residency is required; experience cannot substitute residency training.
