Codaray Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for the Hattiesburg, MS Office. The position will primarily be responsible for assisting with the management and coordination of multiple commercial construction projects and will communicate directly with the Project Manager, Project Superintendent and subcontractors on a routine basis. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Prepares a draft of the project schedule Assists with the buyout process of subcontracts and purchase orders after a project has been assigned Coordinates efforts between the general contractor, subcontractor, and material procurement Completes submittals and RFI’s Approves vendor bills electronically for project costs Assisting the Project Manager as directed QUALIFICATIONS Must exhibit Codaray Construction’s Core Values (Integrity, Passion, Unity, Sustainability, Humility) Bachelor’s degree in construction/engineering or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience required Two (2+) years’ experience in construction, design, finance, and management preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Efficiency in Microsoft Office and other construction software utilized by the company Ability to lead team members in an effective yet positive manner Ability to interpret construction documents Self-motivated and ability to adapt to assigned tasks KEY COMPETENCIES Innovative mindset and constantly seeking ways to improve operations Ability to prioritize and be self-motivated Confident, yet humble, with ability to listen Flexible, adaptable to change, and willing to help BENEFITS Competitive Base Salary with bonus opportunity Exceptional Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Cancer, Accident, Critical Illness Company paid life insurance & short-term disability 401(k) match up to 5% Well-being and Employee Assistance Programs Paid Time Off 9 Company Holidays Employee Referral Bonus Program PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on computer Driving to meeting and job sites Visiting sites for pre-bids and evaluations (climbing stairs, ladders, etc.) 20/20 vision (with or without correction); talking; hearing (with or without aid); and typing/computer entry.
