**Exciting Opportunity for a Cat Scan Technologist!** **Job Description:** - Perform complex computer tomography (CT) procedures and produce high-quality sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation. - Use your professional judgment to diligently review and obtain patients' clinical histories, ensuring documentation is scanned into PACS. - Prepare, screen, and verify the accuracy of contrast questionnaires with patients and/or family members, scanning them into EPIC. - Identify and/or administer prescribed contrast media related to CT exams, ensuring patient safety and comfort. - Review patient prescriptions to verify exam appropriateness; communicate with Radiologists and Referring Physicians if corrections are needed. - Clarify prescriptions by calling physicians, adhering to appropriate CT protocols. - Verify insurance authorization for exam scripts and submit modifications to Finance for re-verification. - Obtain outside studies (CD), scheduling them in EPIC to ensure availability for Radiologists. - Provide exam copies to patients and their requesting physicians or family members. - Evaluate radiographs using the PACS system to ensure diagnostic quality and proper identification. - Gather relevant information for scanning protocols while ensuring patient safety and comfort. - Prepare patients for scanning, including shielding and using immobilization devices. - Determine the appropriate type and dose of contrast to administer to patients. - Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients, addressing any questions or concerns. - Perform venipuncture, IV patency checks, and maintenance in accordance with established guidelines. - Monitor patients' physical condition throughout procedures for any adverse reactions. - Adhere to scheduled shifts, including every third weekend, with flexibility as needed. - Lift a minimum of 25 lbs., push and pull at least 50 lbs., and stand for a minimum of 6 hours a day. - Deliver patient-centered care tailored to the unique needs of each individual, including age, culture, and any disabilities. - Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers at their level of understanding. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
