• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 5 days per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830 – $1,970 (competitive pay for travel dietitian jobs)

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutrition Science, or related field
• Current registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (Registered Dietitian / RD or RDN)
• Current state licensure/certification as required by Kentucky (Licensed Dietitian)
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in a facility setting with direct patient care responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nutritional care to patients, including development, implementation, and monitoring of Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)
• Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments and re-assessments, set nutrition goals, and monitor patient progress as a clinical dietitian
• Develop and monitor enteral and/or parenteral nutrition support regimens in collaboration with pharmacy and medical staff
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Speech Therapy, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Physicians to ensure optimal diet progression and transitional feeding
• Educate patients, families, and staff on nutrition care plans, food–drug interactions, therapeutic diets, and evidence-based nutrition practices
• Participate in menu planning, meal rounds, and tray audits to ensure quality and compliance with prescribed diets
• Contribute to performance improvement programs and maintain up-to-date professional knowledge, continuing education, and registration
• Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to facility guidelines, infection control, and safety protocols
