We are looking for an experienced Sr. Cost Accountant to support manufacturing finance operations in Arkansas. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and can strengthen cost visibility, improve reporting accuracy, and provide meaningful analysis to guide operational decisions. The role will focus on standard costing, manufacturing cost review, and month-end financial activities within a production environment.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze production costs, material usage, labor, and overhead trends to identify variances and support informed business decisions.
• Maintain and review standard cost data to ensure pricing structures and inventory valuation remain accurate and current.
• Prepare recurring cost reports and interpret financial results for plant leadership and finance stakeholders.
• Lead month-end close activities related to inventory, cost allocations, and manufacturing expense reporting.
• Investigate differences between actual and expected costs and recommend corrective actions to improve financial performance.
• Partner with operations, supply chain, and accounting teams to validate cost drivers and strengthen internal reporting processes.
• Support inventory-related reconciliations, including valuation reviews and adjustments tied to production activity.
• Contribute to process improvements involving cost tracking, reporting consistency, and financial controls within the manufacturing environment.• Strong experience in cost accounting, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting principles and inventory valuation methods.
• Hands-on expertise with standard costing and detailed cost variance analysis.
• Ability to manage month-end close responsibilities related to cost and inventory accounting.
• Proficiency in analyzing financial data and translating findings into actionable business insights.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with finance and operational teams.
