Job Summary This position is under the direct supervision of the school site Principal and with classroom oversight by the credential teacher the shared support aide in a SDC Classroom Mod/Severe Classroom Lower Grades K-5. The position is 6 hours per day, 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, 07:55 am - 02:25 pm. The Paraprofessional Special Education assists to provide direct services to students alongside the special education teacher in a middle school setting. Requirements / Qualifications MATERIALS REQUIREMENTS:High School Graduate/GED and Successful completion of the Instructional Aide Para Exam or 40 college units (AA)Experience working with children with special education needs in an organized setting;Current CPR and First Aid Certification, NCI/CPI Training will be provided. within six month of hire dateCalifornia DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance following initial job offer Comments and Other Information Experience working with children with disabilities in a classroom setting. 195 days per year, including Holidays, 6 hrs. per day Not all postings qualify for CalPERS.
