SUMMARY

The Product Manager is responsible for the performance, strategy, and continuous improvement of assigned products. This role analyzes product health, market trends, and member feedback to identify enhancement opportunities, maintain a competitive position, and optimize vendor partnerships. The position serves as the primary product advocate, leading stakeholder engagement, product releases, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver solutions that align with business objectives and enhance the member experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Measure Product Health

• Establish metrics and reporting to understand product health with the key factors being operational performance, product profitability, and member satisfaction (micro and macro level).
• Conducts ongoing product discovery to identify enhancements and innovation opportunities

Optimize Competitive Position

• Analyze competitive data from multiple sources to determine what, if any, market gaps exist between Keesler Federal’s offering and best-in-class competitors.
• Participate in Client Advisory Boards and network with industry peers to stay current on emerging technologies

Manage Vendor Relationships

• Cultivate close working relationships with existing vendor partners.
• Work with each to build prioritized road maps and deliver timely enhancements to maintain a competitive advantage.
• Continuously analyze potential partners and perform Request for Proposals when needed to ensure that vendor relations are performing at optimum performance.

Act as Internal Product Ambassador

• Manges stakeholder engagement to frequently communicate the current status of the product and share upcoming enhancements.
• Own release management process for assigned products
• Coordinate user acceptance testing to ensure successful deployment
• Gathers feedback from internal business units for continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Prepares executive-level updates and budget projections as needed.
• Act as a product subject matter expert for initiatives ensuring alignment between business objectives, technical capabilities, and deliver outcomes.
• Facilitate alignment across lines of business that depend on product support for member-facing experiences
• Analyze current and future state processes to optimize product performance and user experience.
• Stay current with emerging technology trends
• Responsible for compliance with all Federal regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the functions of the position required.

Experience and Other Requirements:

• 1 – 3 years of similar or related experience in a product manager or technical product owner role
• Proficient with core and digital product lines utilized within a credit union or another financial institution (e.g., Symitar, Synergy, online banking)
• Proficient domain knowledge and subject matter expertise in a credit union or another financial institution, and related products
• Proficient knowledge of agile development and the Scrum framework
• Proficient/Advanced in business analysis and translating business requirements to technical specifications
• General knowledge of the software development and product release cycle
• Experience in Jiraor similar project management tools required.

Computer Skills:

• Proficient in the use of computers and standard office technology, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

• PMI Certification preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is primarily a professional office or branch setting, with a focus on member service and collaboration. The role may require working in shared workspaces and interacting with members, coworkers, and vendors through various communication methods. Work may involve extended periods of sitting or standing, repetitive motions such as computer or device use, and occasional movement throughout the facility.
