About the Role:

The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and a welcoming environment within residential or commercial settings. This position ensures that all assigned areas are cleaned thoroughly and efficiently, adhering to established standards and protocols. The Housekeeper will manage various cleaning tasks including floor care, dusting, and waste disposal, contributing to the overall comfort and safety of the premises. Attention to detail and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions are essential to successfully complete daily assignments. Ultimately, the Housekeeper supports the smooth operation of the facility by providing a clean and hygienic environment for occupants and visitors.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to speak and understand English to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Basic reading and writing skills to comprehend cleaning protocols and document completed tasks.
• Manual dexterity to handle cleaning tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Capability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as reaching overhead, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and the use of specialized cleaning equipment.
• Basic mathematical skills to measure cleaning solutions or inventory supplies.
• Certification in cleaning safety or related training programs.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces.
• Maintain floor care by using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Follow detailed oral and written instructions to complete assigned cleaning schedules and special projects.
• Handle cleaning supplies and equipment with manual dexterity and care to avoid damage or injury.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed during cleaning activities to the appropriate personnel.

Skills:

The required skills are essential for executing daily housekeeping duties effectively and safely. Speaking and understanding English enables clear communication of instructions and reporting of issues.
