Kids Academy of Learning & Excellence (KALE), powered by the CORE Foundation, is seeking a STEM Teacher to join our innovative early learning team. KALE is a next-generation learning environment that blends strong academic foundations with STE(AI)M™ education, robotics, literacy, and character development . This role is ideal for an educator who is excited about hands-on learning, future-ready skills, and inspiring young children through science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics, and age-appropriate artificial intelligence concepts. The candidate will need to have CACFP Experience.

• Deliver engaging STE(AI)M™ instruction , including robotics, coding, and interactive technology
• Foster curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking
• Use educational technology tools (robotics kits, coding platforms, introductory AI tools)
• Create a warm, safe, and structured classroom environment
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, safety, and organization
• Collaborate with teaching staff on curriculum planning and continuous improvement
• Document and assess student progress in alignment with school and state standards
• Participate in required professional development and KALE-sponsored training
• Model CORE Foundation values, including inclusion, resilience, and service

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must meet Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) requirements for licensed center lead teachers , including required coursework and training
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Completion of all VDOE-mandated trainings , including:
• Safe Sleep / SIDS Prevention
• Mandated Reporter Training
• Successful completion of criminal background checks, CPS checks, and sex offender registry checks
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs. and actively support classroom/lab activities
• Strong communication, professionalism, reliability, and teamwork skills

• Experience teaching STEM, robotics, coding, or AI in an educational setting
• Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
• Experience working in diverse and inclusive classrooms
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities
