2026-2027 SALARY: $113,612 Calendar: 205 Days BENEFITS

Insurance: This position is eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance coverage on the employee, spouse, and eligible dependents. The employee's insurance will be effective on the first of month following the hire date. The EVSC also offers employees an opportunity for life insurance and long term disability coverage.

Retirement: As a contract teacher, this position will automatically be enrolled in the Teacher Retirement Fund (TRF) through the state of Indiana, which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA). In addition, this position is eligible to enroll in a 401(a) retirement investment plan, a 403(b) Match Program, and a tax-free post-retirement medical expense account (VEBA).

Additional Benefits: Employees enrolled in an EVSC medical insurance plan are eligible to use our Health & Wellness Centers conveniently located within the community. These are no-cost health clinics that provide primary care treatment, generic prescription medications (at no cost), physicals, health screenings, and labs. Accumulated sick leave days and personal business days will be provided under this position as well. Additionally, EVSC employees have access to EVSC Wee Care, our employee-only early learning centers. Wee Care provides a quality early learning experience for children as young as six weeks through age five.

Job Summary

Provides instructional leadership in curriculum planning and implementation, staff development, and technology advancement. Manages the day-to-day activities of the students and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned. Assumes instructional leadership of the total school program and manages building personnel. Interacts with students to encourage each individual to perform at his or her highest level of ability and creates an atmosphere conducive to learning. Ensures that teachers follow corporation-approved curriculum. Stays abreast of current research in elementary education. Assigns teachers to classrooms and students to classes. Resolves problems and provides support to staff members. Ensures supervision of students at all school events before, during, and after the school day. Ensures a safe, pleasant, and effective educational climate. Evaluates performance of teachers, other staff, and programs. Encourages staff attendance at corporation-sponsored in-services. Develops and implements, in collaboration with curriculum area supervisors, realistic plans and programs to ensure professional growth of the instructional staff. Prepares the school budget, works with the budget manager on budgeting and purchasing, and establishes priorities for the purchase of educational materials to meet the needs of students and teachers. Establishes and maintains positive, collaborative relations with parents, parent groups, school volunteers, outside agencies, and local businesses. Implements corporation policies and procedural changes as well as state and federal guidelines and regulations and adheres to corporation contracts with various groups. Utilizes the corporation-approved process to interview and hire staff. Works with central office personnel to coordinate processes for the effective functioning of the school. Assesses needs of the school community and plans and implement strategies to meet those needs. Works cooperatively with universities to increase student and staff learning opportunities. Maintains a cooperative liaison with all attendance district schools and serves as a member of the attendance district principals and supervisor team. Analyzes data from standardized testing (e.g., CTBS, ISTEP+) and facilitates instruction, as needed, to improve the rate of student success in the school and the attendance district. Serves as case conference coordinator. Completes other duties as assigned. Maintains regular attendance.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Master's degree; public-school teaching experience Minimum 5 years teaching experience Highly effective classroom teacher with demonstrated leadership abilities and/or administrative experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS : Valid Indiana administrator's license

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and manuals. Ability to write proposals effectively to secure funds for the corporation. Ability to present information and respond to questions effectively from groups of administrators, teachers, school board members, parents, students, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to prepare, project, monitor, and revise multiple budgets.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to use available information and develop realistic long-term and short-term plans for curricular goals.
