We need your technical knowledge and desire to problem-solve to develop AI/ML solutions for challenging customer problems. As an ML engineer on our national security team, you’ll train, test, deploy, and maintain models that learn from data.In this role, you’ll own and define the direction of mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit ML algorithms and technologies. You’ll be part of a large community of ML engineers across the company and collaborate with data scientists, solutions architects, subject matter experts, product owners, and end users to deliver world class AI/ML solutions to a wide variety of national security problems. Your skills and extensive technical expertise will guide clients as they navigate the landscape of ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks. You Have:  3+ years of experience in AL/ML-based solutions, including Python programming and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or KerasExperience developing Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLM), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)-enabled solutionsExperience applying AI/ML research to develop AI/ML solutionsKnowledge of core AI/ML concepts, including clustering, regression, classification, algorithm selection, and model evaluationKnowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and commonly used tools such as GitAbility to work independently with limited guidance and directionTS/SCI clearance with a polygraphBachelor's degree in a CS, AI, Mathematics, or Statistics fieldNice If You Have:  Experience in rapid prototyping or developing proofs of concepts to demonstrate or validate AI/ML capabilitiesExperience deploying AI/ML solutions into production environments using end-to-end model pipelines and tools such as Docker or KubernetesExperience with AI agent frameworks, including LangChain or LlamaIndexExperience fine-tuning large-scale models for domain-specific tasks in secure or fully isolated, air-gapped environmentsExperience leading small teams of AI/ML developers or researchersExperience with high performance computingExperience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, and their respective AI services such as SageMakerExperience with data analysis and creation of data-driven visualizationsMaster’s degree in CS, AI, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related fieldClearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
