Opportunity:

Cath Lab Technologist - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 4 ten-hour days per week (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) with a rotating day off, or 5 eight-hour days (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
• On-call responsibilities include weeknight call approximately once every 3 weekdays and weekend call rotation approximately once every 3 weekends (Friday through Monday)
• May be asked to participate in Holiday Call
• 30-minute call response time required
• Work in a 7-room lab facility including 4 Cath Lab/EP rooms and 3 IR/Vascular rooms with 20+ cases per day across all rooms
• Common procedures include LHC, RHC, PCI, Structural, Watchman, Impella, IABP, IFR, FFR, IVUS, STEMI, Roto, and Laser
• Prepare procedure suites and ensure radiation safety setup
• Calibrate and troubleshoot fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
• Pull supplies, set up sterile table, and scrub in to assist physicians with procedures
• Perform device exchange, guidewire manipulation, catheter placement, balloon and stent deployment, and manage radiation dose and imaging angles
• Responsible for cleaning, restocking, room turnover, and sheath removals
• Serve as part of the STEMI Call Team consisting of 1 RN and 3 Techs
• Hybrid floating for vascular cases required
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• EMR and equipment used: Merge, Cerner
• Scrubs provided by the facility; personal scrub caps are permitted
• Orientation includes approximately 2-3 full days of training and shadowing with buddy call; no independent call during first week
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) via CCI

Facility:

This acute care facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering advanced cardiovascular and interventional radiology services. The department operates 7 specialized procedure rooms supporting a high-volume cath lab environment with daily staffing that includes registered nurses, technologists, and anesthesia support for complex cases. The facility utilizes Cerner as its primary charting system and maintains a dedicated STEMI response team to ensure rapid, high-quality care for cardiac patients.
