Job Title: R&D Scientist Sepax Technologies, Inc. seeks a highly motivated and creative scientist to develop new base materials for analytical chromatographic products. The position is based at our headquarters office in Newark, Delaware. Responsibilities Lead all aspects of product development for base materials in chromatography, including development, qualification, and validation of test methods and implementation of test methods into a QC environment. Help surface chemists to develop new stationary phase with the new material. Stay up to date on scientific literature in material science, analytical chromatography, and market trends. Work with customers to find new opportunities. Collaborate with the production team to improve production processes and product quality and consistency. Serve as the technical lead for customer support when needed. Analyze data and prepare detailed technical reports. Provide presentations to summarize scientific findings internally and externally. File patent applications. Qualifications PhD degree in material science, polymer science, synthetic chemistry, or related disciplines. 1 to 3 years relevant experience in material chemistry. Expertise in synthesizing new materials. Physical characterization of synthesized new materials. Innovative and problem‑solving mindset, agility to learn new analytical techniques and concepts.
