Position Overview

CMCOM is seeking experienced Application Support & Development Specialists to support enterprise application development, enhancement, integration, maintenance, and operational support for a major transportation and infrastructure client in the New York/New Jersey region.

This position is ideal for a technically strong professional with experience supporting complex enterprise environments and developing secure, scalable, and reliable business applications.

The successful candidate will collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, project managers, and enterprise technology groups to design, develop, integrate, enhance, test, deploy, and maintain mission-critical applications and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, configure, test, and implement custom web applications and application components
• Support existing in-house and vendor-provided enterprise applications
• Develop and enhance applications using .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Develop and maintain Microsoft SQL Server-based solutions
• Design and support applications hosted within Microsoft Azure environments
• Develop applications and workflows using Microsoft SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power Platform
• Participate in requirements gathering, business-process analysis, system design, and technical architecture planning
• Develop responsive, accessible, secure, and user-friendly web applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities
• Refactor and modernize legacy applications and support migrations to newer frameworks or cloud-based architectures
• Support application upgrades, patches, releases, configuration changes, and deployments
• Develop and maintain APIs, web services, data feeds, and enterprise system integrations
• Support data exchange, synchronization, and reporting across multiple systems and databases
• Prepare technical designs, system documentation, specifications, user guides, and configuration documentation
• Support unit testing, integration testing, User Acceptance Testing, and performance testing
• Participate in deployment, release management, and post-implementation support activities

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
• Professional experience in enterprise application development, systems integration, or application support
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft-based development environments
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle practices
• Experience working across development, testing, staging, and production environments
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to diagnose application, integration, database, and performance issues
• Strong technical documentation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, project managers, and leadership
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced project environment

Preferred Skills

• IBM Maximo development, configuration, integration, or administration experience
• Esri ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online experience
• Microsoft Azure cloud development experience
• SharePoint Online and Power Platform experience
• API and enterprise systems integration experience
• Experience modernizing legacy enterprise applications
• Experience supporting transportation, engineering, infrastructure, or public-sector organizations
• Knowledge of application cybersecurity and secure coding practices
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards
• Experience supporting enterprise asset-management or GIS platforms

Work Environment & Requirements

• Hybrid assignment supporting projects throughout the New York/New Jersey region
• Work may be performed at client facilities depending on individual project requirements
• Typical on-site hours are approximately 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Occasional support may be required during critical system releases or application issues
• Candidate must comply with client information-security and confidentiality requirements
• Candidate may be required to obtain a High-Level Secure Worker Access Consortium (SWAC) ID
• Personnel accessing protected systems or information must comply with all applicable facility and cybersecurity requirements
