The role involves ensuring correct quality control of materials produced, including inspecting, buffing, and counting selected units of ceramic tile. Primary Objective Performs a variety of duties including inspecting, buffing, and counting selected units of ceramic tile. Major Functions and Scope Remove fired tile from conveyor line and inspect for defects. Place defective tile in trash container and good tile in cardboard shipping container. Assemble cardboard shipping containers and place product labels on these containers. Attach selected tile to prepared backing in the tile mounting process. Perform minor functions of other positions for break relief. Follow ISO operating procedures and maintain quality checks as specified. Monitor equipment or processes and report problems to supervisor. Keep area safe, clean, and organized. Other Duties Perform other related duties as required. Experience and Knowledge Required High school diploma or equivalent experience. 1 Year Previous Manufacturing/production Experience Preferred. Competencies Good oral and written communication skills. Good record‑keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak basic English. Job Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb, or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, a wide range of temperatures, and loud noise.
