Join us!THE ROLESNHU Arena is seeking certified Bartenders to join our team on a part-time, event-based schedule in Manchester, NH. This flexible role is ideal for individuals with availability on evenings and weekends. Events include concerts, comedy shows, private functions, and sporting events. The ideal candidate will have strong bartending skills, excellent customer service experience, and cash-handling knowledge.This is a part-time, event-based position scheduled based on the arena’s event calendar.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly, professional mannerPrepare and serve beverage items efficiently and accuratelyMaintain safe, clean, and sanitary workstations at all timesOperate point-of-sale systems and handle transactions accuratelyFollow established cash handling and inventory control proceduresEnsure accurate and timely reporting to the cash control (Money Room) teamCoordinate with Concessions Supervisors, Cashiers, and Runners to maintain proper inventory levels and uninterrupted serviceAdhere to all SNHU Arena policies and alcohol service regulationsVerify valid identification for all alcohol purchasesMaintain a clean and organized work area before, during, and after eventsPerform other duties as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThere are no supervisory responsibilities in this role.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. Must be 18 years or older.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEMust be at least 18 years of age.High school diploma or GED preferred.Previous customer service experience is preferred.Experience working in event venues, arenas, or guest services is a plus.SKILLS AND ABILITIESExcellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse audiencesStrong communication skills and ability to remain professional in fast-paced, high-pressure environmentsProficiency in preparing a variety of standard and specialty beveragesSolid cash handling and basic math skills with attention to accuracy and detailAbility to operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficientlyStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesKnowledge of responsible alcohol service practices and applicable lawsAbility to work effectively as part of a team and follow direction from supervisorsHigh level of reliability, punctuality, and professionalismAbility to stand for extended periods and lift/move moderate weight as neededStrong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer concerns calmly and effectivelyCOMPENSATIONCompetitive hourly pay.WORKING CONDITIONSLocation: SNHU Arena- Manchester, NHPHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time (6–10 hours).Must be able to climb stairs and move throughout the arena.Must be able to work in a loud, fast-paced event environment.Must be able to communicate clearly with guests and coworkers.Must be able to respond quickly in a busy environment.NOTE:The essential responsibilities of this position are described under the headings above.
