The NAIHS is the primary provider of inpatient, ambulatory care, preventive and community health, and environmental health services for members of the Navajo Nation and the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe. Explore the Navajo Nation Gallup Indian Medical Center Gallup Indian Medical Center (GIMC) is a 78-bed hospital in Gallup, New Mexico, on the border of the Navajo Reservation. Clinical specialties at GIMC include Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Anesthesia, OB/GYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Radiology, Pathology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, and Urology. The workload at Gallup is one of the largest in the Indian Health Service with 310,000 outpatient encounters and 4,400 inpatient admissions annually. GIMC has the largest staff of all Navajo Area Client facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

• Provide diagnostic ultrasound services in Radiography as assigned by the Supervisor of Medical Imaging Services.
• Provide services at dates and times assigned by Supervisor of Diagnostic Imaging services (typically Monday through Sundays) and perform on-call services after hours when assigned by Supervisor of Diagnostic Imaging Services.
• Provide emergency coverage when short staffed as assigned by Supervisor of Diagnostic Imaging Services.

May encompass outpatient, inpatient and community health imaging services to Client patients. Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Possess a valid, active, full and unrestricted license to medicine in any state within the United States, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
• Currently registered by The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
