Job Overview The Interventional Radiologic Technologist operates digital equipment and performs complex invasive procedures by positioning patients and preparing contrast media to assist the physician in diagnosis and treatment. Requires comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Works with contrast media, chemotherapy agents, radiological agents, cements, resins and embolization agents. May perform procedures in other departments such as OR, Cath Lab, and multiple imaging modalities. This is a clinical 100% position and may require mandatory call as needed. Qualifications State of Connecticut Radiographer license. ARRT certification in Radiography required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Graduate from an accredited Radiography program. At least 1 year as a Radiologic Technologist required, 1-2 years IR experience preferred.
