Detailed Description:

The Safety Trainer supports the organization's safety culture by developing and delivering training programs that promote safe work practices and regulatory compliance. This role conducts safety orientations, training sessions, and refresher courses for employees across multiple locations. The Safety Trainer partners with operational leaders to identify training needs, maintain training records, and ensure employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills to work safely. Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills are essential for success in this dynamic, people-focused role.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 Construction training under 29 CFR 1926 as part of structured CIMCO training pathways. Conduct new-hire safety orientation and onboarding training
• Deliver role-based training for employees.
• Develop and maintain training curricula, presentations, lesson plans, assessments, and supporting training materials.
• Support supervisor development through training in safety leadership, hazard recognition, incident investigation, injury management, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) development.
• Support field observations, safety audits, JHA reviews, and employee coaching when not conducting training.
• Partner with the Safety Administrator to maintain training records, certifications, attendance logs, and compliance documentation.
• Identify training gaps, upcoming expirations, and refresher training needs and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active OSHA 500 certification required.
• 3+ years of safety training experience in construction, manufacturing, industrial, HVAC, or related environments preferred.
• Experience delivering OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training programs.
• Experience delivering OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 Construction training.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1926 Construction Standards.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work in person in Duncan, South Carolina, and travel up to 50% as business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing safety training materials, curricula, lesson plans, presentations, exercises, and assessments.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training record management systems.
• HAZWOPER 24-Hour training experience.
• HAZWOPER 8-Hour Refresher training experience.
• NFPA 70E Electrical Safety training experience.
• CPR / First Aid / AED Instructor certification.
• Defensive Driving Instructor certification.
• Experience conducting field audits, JHA reviews, incident investigations, and employee coaching.
• Experience developing and implementing company-wide training programs.
