Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This per diem pharmacist position offers an opportunity to provide essential support in a veterinary pharmacy specializing in large animal care. The role focuses on accurately processing prescriptions and ensuring the efficient preparation of medications for distribution.
Schedule and Location:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Initial shifts: November 12, 19; December 10, 17
- Based in West Point, MS
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter prescription information accurately into the pharmacy system
- Print labels for medications
- Collaborate with warehouse staff who prepare the prescriptions for dispensing
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy protocols and regulatory standards
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Mississippi pharmacist license is required
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience, retail pharmacy background is acceptable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription processing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Information:
- Anticipate processing approximately 100 scripts per day
- One day of paid training will be provided prior to starting shifts
