Job Summary The full‑time Accounting Clerk will be part of a bookkeeping‑accounting‑finance team that includes a full‑time CFO and a part‑time, outsourced accounting manager. Essential Job Functions Organize and process financial transactions by keying data, sorting documents, and processing digital and cash transactions from various platforms. Synchronize and verify entries into QuickBooks from multiple platforms including bank, credit cards, point‑of‑sale systems, accounts payable system, payroll system, etc. Perform various reconciliations, including bank activity, daily sales, sales tax withholding, merchant services charges, and petty cash banks. Execute month‑end procedures such as posting payroll journal entries, calculating and recording inter‑company activity, and reconciling banking activity. Calculate and record various inter‑company transactions and expense allocations. Manage accounts payable – pay and digitally file invoices as part of the full cycle accounts payable process. Record payroll transactions. Enter daily data into various management reports. Assist with clerical and administrative tasks. Qualifications High School diploma / GED through associate’s degree. Entry‑level position; no particular experience required. Preferred: Experience working with accounting software, specifically QuickBooks. Preferred: Previous Accounting Clerk experience in the hospitality industry. Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures. Competency in MS Office and accounting software. Hands‑on experience with spreadsheets. Accuracy and attention to detail. Aptitude for numbers. Ability to perform electronic filing and record‑keeping tasks. Data entry and word processing skills.
