Dishwasher/Houseperson

Purpose for the Position: To perform duties to maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen by washing kitchen items, equipment, and area, removing trash, maintaining equipment and supplies. Essential Responsibilities:
Skills and Abilities:
- Sweeps and mops floors
- Washes worktables, walls refrigerators, and meat blocks.
- Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
- Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
- Sorts bottles and breaks disposable ones in bottle crushing machine.
- Washes pots, pans and trays by hand.
- Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on a conveyor to dishwashing machine.
- Polishes silver, using burnishing-machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth.
- Holds inverted glasses over revolving brushes to clean inside surfaces.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by use of a hand truck.
- Sets up banquet tables.
- Washes and peels vegetables using a knife or peeling machine.
- May perform cleaning duties for banquets and conventions.
- Required to be always in uniform when working on the property including wearing name identification badge.
- Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
- Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.
Skills and Abilities:
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
- Always maintain a professional appearance and manner.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions; lift, bend, stoop, walk, push, or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods of time.
- High School completion or an equivalent level of education and experience.
- Must thrive in a multi-tasking, fast paced working environment.
