About the Role

The Chemical Plant Manager is responsible for the supervision and leadership, reporting, and communication for all shifts of chemical plant operations, including the wastewater treatment process. You will ensure compliance with environmental regulations and the safety rules for each process activity, including industrial risks. You will ensure the timely delivery of quality products consistent with safety, engineering, and quality documentation. You will set and achieve goals for problem solving and closure of open safety and quality actions.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise all operators and team leads on shift
\n
• Implement production plan and flex labor to meet on time delivery goals and efficiency targets
\n
• Improve process flow by using Promote safety and achieve a safety culture within the chemical plant team
\n
• Review industrial risks and ensure all employees are knowledgeable of their areas of responsibilities
\n
• Meet all regulatory and compliance requirements for safety, health and environment
\n
• Promote involvement in the autonomous team to highlight production and quality issue
\n
• Monitor the team’s hourly production and make changes as necessary to meet or exceed targets
\n

Qualifications:

\n

\n

\n
• Significant work experience in a chemical process, including formal leadership training
\n
• 5 years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in a chemical manufacturing setting
\n
• Experience with chemical processes such as mixing, dissolution reactions, and wastewater treatment
\n
• Experience with ISO 9100, Hazwoper, safety, and environmental regulations
\n
• Experience leading autonomous teams
\n
• Lean manufacturing experience
