Eligibility Criteria for the Registered Dental Hygienist Role:
- Possess a valid Registered Dental Hygienist license
- Hold an up-to-date CPR certification
- Have experience with nitrous oxide administration
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to oral health and patient well-being
Key Responsibilities of the Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH):
- Educate patients on dental hygiene practices, including tooth care and nutrition
- Perform scaling and polishing to eliminate plaque and tartar buildup
- Take dental impressions and/or radiographs as needed
- Apply preventive treatments such as antibacterial agents, fissure sealants, and topical fluorides to reduce the risk of cavities
- Conduct screening and monitoring assessments
