# Job Opportunity – Critical Care / ICU Registered Nurse – South Carolina**Start Date:** August 17, 2026**Location:** Charleston, South Carolina**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** 3 twelve-hour shifts per week; every other weekend and holiday rotation in accordance with facility policy**Highlights:**- 28-bed mixed Intensive Care Unit with 1:2 to 1:3 patient ratios, including some PCU/med-surg inpatient holds- Advanced critical care experience with post-op CABG, impellas, balloon pumps, Swan Ganz catheters, and advanced hemodynamics- Neuro ICU capabilities including aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage management, EVDs, bolts (Codman), and Arctic Sun induced hypothermia- CRRT experience and phlebotomy skills utilized; respiratory treatment administration outside of ICU- Electronic medical record system: Meditech- Opportunities to train in specialized Neuro ICU and Cardiovascular ICU procedures, including rare head and neck flap care (one of only 14 programs in the nation)**Requirements:**- Active RN license in South Carolina or compact state eligibility- Minimum 36 months RN experience, with at least 12 months in an ICU setting- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required- Previous CVICU experience required- At least one successful travel nursing assignment preferred, ideally in a facility using Meditech- Competency managing ventilated patients (1-3 ICU patients)- Proficiency reading telemetry strips and conducting bedside shift reports- BSN preferred; advanced certifications (TNCC) preferred**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**This 313-bed facility is a Level II Trauma Center recognized for excellence in critical care, featuring specialized services including a nationally accredited Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center.
