Punch press operator

Bring blueprints to life with precision and power. As a Punch Press Operator, you'll set up, configure, and operate high-powered mechanical, hydraulic, and CNC punch presses to cut, shape, and form custom components. Working directly from technical schematics and tight production schedules, you'll turn raw materials into high-quality parts-ensuring every piece meets exacting tolerances, strict quality standards, and top-tier safety protocols.

salary: $37,440 - $40,000 per year

work hours: 11 PM - 7 AM

Responsibilities

• Install, align, and lock specified dies, punches, and shearing blades into press beds using precision hand tools and gauges.
• Adjust ram strokes, feed mechanisms, material guides, and stops based on job specifications.
• Position, align, and secure metal sheets, coils, or blanks onto equipment beds safely.
• Operate punch press equipment to execute blanking, punching, bending, and forming processes efficiently.
• Perform daily routine machine checks, including lubricating moving parts, checking hydraulic oil levels, and cleaning work beds.

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
