What's yours?Position OverviewThe position is responsible for supervising all assigned warehouse departments in such a manner that material flow is processed efficiently and accurately while meeting defined productivity and cost objectives. The person in this position is also responsible for ensuring all company policies and procedures are followed.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMust be able to operate various power industrial equipment (forklifts)Ensure material is received and shipped correctly and efficientlyAssign sales orders to material handlersMaintain inventory accuracy through cycle countingMeet defined productivity, safety and cost objectivesCoordinate efficient material and workflow through all warehouse departmentsDevelop and implement process improvementsMaintain good housekeepingTrain material handlers in job responsibilitiesAbility to train and instruct new forklift operatorsRegularly conduct evaluations of forklift operatorsEffectively manage assigned work forceDiscipline within company guidelinesSupervisory Responsibility: This position is responsible for supervising all warehouse employees.Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. The employee must constantly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Position Type / Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime work is required. It is essential that the Warehouse Supervisor spend 95% of his/her time in the warehouse performing their duties.Required Education and Experience: GED or High School DiplomaQualifications/ Skills: Basic ability to read, write and understand English. Solid ability to follow verbal and written directions. Basic math skills including fractions. Basic understanding of computers. Ability to work in a team environment.Safety Requirements: Employee is responsible for compliance with all safety rules, regulations and policies. Employee responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Complying with all safety rules and regulations. Reporting any unsafe practice and/or conditions to management. Wearing required personal protective equipment properly, including safety shoes.
