LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is accountable for providing high-quality patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy. The role requires demonstrating critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of care. The Registered Nurse will maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education, delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provide direction and supervision to personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to ensure effective patient care delivery.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient assessments.
• Lead and supervise nursing staff in providing high-quality care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and training.
• Delegate care tasks based on staff competencies and patient needs.

Schedule

This position is scheduled from 19:00 to 07:30.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid California RN license.
• ACLS & BLS certifications required (must be from the American Heart Association).
• Experience with ventilators and tracheostomy care is necessary.
• Relevant clinical experience is required for qualification.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
