Job Description:

The role involves working in the PCU at a cardiac center for excellence, providing care in a high acuity progressive/intermediate care unit.

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care and patient monitoring in a PCU setting.
Assist in post-cath care and manage procedures such as TAVRs, ablations, and pacemaker implantations.
Perform pre & post care of open-heart surgical patients.
Ensure patient equipment such as telemetry, suction, and feeding pumps are correctly utilized.

Requirements:

Minimum 1-year current acute care PCU hospital experience.
BLS & ACLS certification.
Experience with chest tube and pacer wire management.
Proficient with O2 management up to BIPAP & heated hi-flow and various drips including heparin and diltiazem.
